It's beginning to look like Christmas

I can't believe that christmas is only 2 days away. I finished up shopping this am. LOL And I am now in the process of baking...cookies, fudge, peppermint bark, brownies. So, the house has wonderful smells going on. I have also fought with the cats as I'm wrapping christmas gifts. They think all of the extra wrapping paper is theirs...hmmm...sorry to disappoint them. I hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. Hopefully in the next week and a half I will be able to get some crafting and scrapping done.

Happy Sunday

Wow...where does the time go? Been busy. I've been knitting. I made a pair of socks and a couple of hats. And yes I actually made a hat for me to keep. I had time to play today and entered into some of the bellaversary challenges. Em is 2 this weekend. Lots of fun stamps and lots of goodies on her site. Stampingbella.com

Here are some pictures:

So, I'm off to watch the Steeler/Cowboy game. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday.

Breast cancer awareness month

Oct is breast cancer awareness month. And it is important for all females. Nikki is giving away blog candy: bunny-zoes.blogspot.com

So, go and visit her!

Good luck!

Where does the time go?

I can't believe that it has been a month since the last post. I do have to admit that I was sick for about 10 days...fever, sore throat. So, that would be part of it. I have been busy with flag football...which is every weekend. Practice on Sat and games on Sun. I have learned to take stuff with me to work on at the practices. I have finished the halloween item which has been sent and received. I have also worked on a snowman and a penquin for a swap. And I have finished my first pair of knitted socks. Wahoo! I will get pictures posted later of all of my finished projects.

More crochet projects

I found a really cute pattern for chihuahuas and the boys wanted one each. So, I have stitched up a couple for them. I think they came out really cute.

So, right now I am finishing up a Halloween project. Once it is done I will get it posted. Hope that everyone has a wonderful day.

Huge blog candy

If you are interested there is a huge amount of blog candy being given away by Cammie in honor of World Alzheimer's Day. Here is her blog for all of the information: myblogcammie.blogspot.com

You still have almost 24 hours to get a card made and into the mail. Please support the caretakers that help out with alzheimer's patients.

Here is my card for this:

Belated thank you to my bella sistah!

This is a very belated thank you! I unfortunately twisted my ankle about a week and a half ago and have been hobbling around. So, thank you for all of the goodies. It has been wonderful having you for a bella sistah, Kim.

Sept. 11

It is hard to believe that 7 years ago the country experienced such a devastating attack. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this tragedy!

I can't believe that the summer has flown by and here we are already into Sept. The kids are back in school and seem to be adjusting well. And the best thing is that I have some time to play. Yippee!

I joined again the bella calendar swap. This year I had Feb, March, and May. Hm...what bellas to use. I did get them done and into the mail on Mon. Here is what I came up with.

A coworker has been out of the office ill so this is the card that I came up with for her. I really love Inky Antics.

Sheetload Mini

I have found an awesome site which I have talked about before. It is sheetload.blogspot.com. And they have a monthly newsletter on how to make multiple cards. I tried it awhile ago and it is really easy. Now they have come up with a sheetload mini(the first time was this month). And I decided to try it and enter the contest they are having. Here are my entries:

Happy Sunday

Greetings from Munhall! Can't believe that July is almost gone. And I have been in a lazy non-creative mood. Ugh!
My bella sistah sent me stuff to help spark my creativity. So, here are pictures for you to see all of the goodies and wonderful stuff that she sent. I can't wait to play and I actually have time today. So, how creative can I be? Hmmm....Maybe I'll have pictures later.

Busy weekend

It was a fun and busy weekend. There was a stamp convention that came in to town. Friday I had two classes. THe first was done by Inky Antics and was a blast and a half. WE made 4 really cool, movable cards. Friday evening was the make and take dessert. 9 different companies did make it take its. Sat and Sun was the actual stamp show. And I did behave myself, but I found a lot of really cool stamp companies. Pictures of the cards will follow later.

Recovering from the 4th of July

Wow! What a busy weekend. 3 picnics in 3 days. Holy smokes! I've had enough hamburgers/hot dogs to last for awhile. I hope that everyone had a nice weekend. And took lots of pictures. I only took a couple...to busy eating. LOL Hopefully today I will be able to get some "creating" done.

Adding a blinkie!

Here is the blinkie for sheetload of cards. Please go and visit them. They have awesome instructions and ideas.

Wow! Where has the time gone?

I can't believe the date and how fast June is flying by. Busy, busy, busy!

We ended flag football last Sat. Andy's team the Demons won! They played three games on Sun and made it to the Superbowl and finally beat the Tigers. Go DEMONS! Congratulations to the whole team and especially to an awesome coach, Rick.

Also, they came in 1st place for the summer. Here is a picture of the trophy that the coach gets to keep.

Of course that doesn't leave much time for creativity. But I have found time to create cards. I found a new and neat blog called "A Sheetload of Cards". This is their blog if anyone is interested: sheetload.blogspot.com

They give you directions to make 6 cards at a time. They go together fast and very nice. Here are some examples that I made from the May instruction sheet.

Same background for all of them just different stamps for the front. Most of the stamps are from Stamping Bella. Got to love the bella stamps!

And last but not least I have a new bella sistah! And she is so awesome. Kim, sent me a package of goodies today. And I lovey the superbella card. And all of the goodies that she sent. Here are pictures of both. Thank you so much Kim for all of the goodies! I lovey them all.

Oh a final note. I have learned how to knit. Not only that but the boys are taking knitting classes. And of course, we all know how hard it is to try something new. We have trials and tribulations with the knitting. Knit two rows, pull out three. LOL But they are trying something new this summer and are talking about making themselves some scarfs for winter. I will try and update more frequently. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

Happy Monday

I hope that all mom's out there had a wonderful Mother's Day. Mine was rainy and cold. Football games were cancelled due to the weather. So, we spent the day out at garden places getting plants for hanging baskets and mulch for the roses.

Okay so let me backtrack a little. DH birthday was last tues and let me show you the card that I made for him. He is a snow white fan so of course out came Happily Ever After cricut cartridge.

The saying on the top of the card says "Oh Happy Day." I think Dopey came out very cute.

Friday at work was a very busy day. And by the end of the day my feet were killing me. I came home tired and blah. I found a wonderful package from my bella sistah Dawn. Let me show you what she sent and the card that she made for me. It definitely lifted my spirits. On the inside of the card it says "Celebrate your inner princess. Happy Mother's Day."

And last but not least here is the card that I made for my mom for mother's day.

So, yes I have been busy. LOL Let me also share with you Sneezy from the 7 Dwarfes. He came out cute.

Thank goodness it's thursday!

I'm so glad that it's thurs and I'm not even sure why. LOL It has been a busy week. Jonathon made his first holy communion on Sunday.
I had a little time to play today. And I was waiting on the barbella stamp to make this card.
For those of you that don't know I joined Curves the first of the year. I had finally gotten tired of being "FAT"! And I decided that it was time for a big New year's resolution and that was to loose the weight. So, off I went to try curves. And I have made it faithfully three times a week since Jan. But the best thing is that the people there really help support you. So, I made this for one of the workers who always has positive reinforcement for me, especially during weigh in and measuring day. Sometimes you just have to let people know how important and special they are! P.S. Right now I'm stuck in a rut and can't loose the weight. I look at it this way...at least I'm not regaining it.

Pooh rocks!

I had a little time to play. So, I pulled out the cricut machine and the new Pooh and friends cartridge. They were fun to make and they came out absolutely awesome! Now I just have to order more paper so that I have the right colors to get all of the characters done. Enjoy! And I can't wait to share more with you all.

Happy Saturday

Greetings to everyone! Wow time sure does fly. I'm not sure how much creativity I'll be getting done any time soon as football season has started again. So, the weekends are going to be Flag Football. Practice on Sat and games on Sun.

This is a shame because I just got the new Cricut cartridges Pooh Bear and friends and the Pooh Font set. I'm going to have to see if I can play with them either today or tomorrow. Who needs a clean house? LOL

If I create anything I'll post soon. Hope all are well and you are having a wonderful weekend.

Good Friday

I can't believe that Easter is almost here. Wow! So, since I didn't want to ruin the surprise for a couple of people I didn't post sooner. I know that they have gotten their surprise so I can show everyone what I made. I got a white candle(JoAnn's) and colored the image on tissue paper and then heated the paper with a heat gun. I think they came out pretty cute.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful and safe Easter.

Happy Sunday

It's been a busy weekend. The boys both had football banquets-one on Sat morning and one on Sun morning. And Sat we had my nephew's birthday party. Whoosh! The banquets were very nice...lots of food and tons of trophies.

I did have some time to get the bella sketch done for this weekend. Yeah! And I really like the new line that Em has created. So, this is my card for this sketch. Enjoy!

Thursday

Well, due to sick kids we did not have our Butler Scrapbook road trip. So, I was a little bummed today. I decided to take my dad out to lunch and on the way stopped at the mailbox. I had received an envelope from my bella sistah, Dawn. And it couldn't have come at a better time. It brought a smile to my face and all of the treats inside were absolutely mahhhvelous! Thanks Dawn for making my day so much brighter.

Happy Tuesday

So, I decided to give this blog stuff a go. LOL Today was Make It Take it at Stamp Fanci in North Hills, PA. I love their make it take its...so simple but practical. And today they pulled out an oldie but goodie. Shrinky dinks which made the card we made look awesome and then we made a cute little basket out of an oval scallop. Hmmm....
So, of course I had to buy some of the new ink jet shrinky dinks to play with and they worked absolutely wonderful! I made all kinds of neat stuff.
I have also been playing with my cricut and the paper doll dress up. Someone posted they made darth vader out of the paper dolls. I scraplifted the directions and came up with my own. I also continued on and made Yoda and Luke. They came out really cute.
That's all for now. Hope that you are having a good day.
